PAULETTE NICHOLSON WINS NASHVILLE CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU HITMAKERS AWARD
May 2011, in recognition of National Tourism Week, the Nashville Convention and Visitor’s Bureau introduced the NEW front-line hospitality recognition program - Music City Hitmakers. There's no doubt that what makes Nashville's hospitality industry so successful is its front-line employees who often go above and beyond to provide noteworthy service and make a great impression on our visitors. The Music City Hitmakers program recognizes their vital contributions to the industry and fosters excellence in customer service. The November 2011 recipient of this prestigious award is Destination Nashville's very own Paulette Nicholson.

NACE HONORS DESTINATION NASHVILLE WITH THREE NOMINATIONS
The National Association of Catering Executives, the oldest and largest catering association in the world, has honored Destination Nashville with three nominations at the 2011 NACE Awards. The NACE Awards are a long-standing tradition, which recognizes excellence in catering and events and honors the superstars of the industry. As a proud member of the Nashville Chapter of NACE, we are extremely excited and humbled to have received this prestigious recognition by the organization. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, July 26 during the highly anticipated Experience! conference in Reno Tahoe.

DESTINATION NASHVILLE OFFICE IN GAYLORD OPRYLAND RESORT REOPENS
Ten Destination Nashville employees displaced after the May floods in Tennessee have returned to their Gaylord Opryland Resort home. The Destination Nashville office is located in the Magnolia Lobby directly across the hall from WSM Radio. Stop in and say "Hello" the next time you are in the hotel.

GLOBAL EVENTS PARTNERS DMCs SCORE 94% SATISFACTION RATE
Global Events Partners (GEP), a partnership of 65 destination management companies (DMC) worldwide, and its partner DMCs scored 92% or higher on all questions in a client satisfaction survey, according to results early this month.

GAYLORD OPRYLAND WILL REOPEN FOR BUSINESS ON NOVEMBER 15
Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center has been closed since May 2 when a series of storms caused historic flooding throughout Middle Tennessee. This week Gaylord announced that the hotel will reopen for business on November 15, 2010.

DESTINATION NASHVILLE OPENS 3RD OFFICE IN DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE
Music City is growing once again and so is its leading Destination Management Company, Destination Nashville. As Nashville celebrates breaking ground on its new Music City Center convention facility; Rhonda Marko, President and CEO, is pleased to announce the opening of a Downtown Nashville office location April 5, 2010.
