Rhonda has a unique approach to people and destination management, and a vision for Destination Nashville to be a dynamic company that combines extraordinary creative ability with careful attention to detail. In 1993, Rhonda received the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation; in 2000, Rhonda received the Certified Meeting Management (CMM) designation; and in January 2002, Rhonda was in the first group to receive the Destination Management Certified Professionals (DMCP) certification through the Association for Destination Management Executives.

In 2007, Women’s Business Enterprise Council named Rhonda as Nashville’s Woman Entrepreneur of the Year. In 2008, Rhonda led Destination Nashville to be ranked #13 on the Nashville Business Journal’s list of “25 Largest Women Owned Businesses in Nashville.”  From 2002 to 2010 Rhonda served on the Board of Directors of the Association for Destination Management Executives (ADME) and was President of the Organization in 2009.  From 2005 to 2010 Rhonda served as Commissioner of Destination Management and Transportation on the Convention Industry Council (CIC) APEX Commission.  Presently, Rhonda serves on the Domestic Partners Advisory Board of Global Events Partners.  In 2009 the Association for Destination Management Executives (ADME) named Rhonda as "2009 Destination Management Professional of the Year."
